About Us

Brunei Darussalam Fencing Federation (BDFF) registered with the Registry of Society Brunei on 5th March 1999. Ever since then, BDFF have been developing the Olympic sport of fencing in Brunei Darussalam. One of our objectives is to develop competitive fencers to represent our country in international competitions.

One of our early achievements include winning five medals (1 Gold, 2 Silver and 3 Bronze medals) in Sukan Malaysia (SUKMA), Negeri Sembilan in 2004. The most medals won by any Brunei contingent sport in SUKMA to date. Brunei have also participated in various regional competitions including the World Fencing Championship, Fencing World Cup, Commonwealth Fencing Championship, Asian Fencing Championship and the South East Asian Fencing Championship.

One of our best achievements in a regional contingent competition is winning the bronze medal in the South East Asian Games 2007, Thailand. Brunei’s first fencing medal for Brunei in the SEA Games. .

BDFF will continue our effort to recruit and nurture fencers to achieve their maximum potential to compete in any fencing event.


a) To Encourage, promote and develop fencing in Brunei Darussalam.

b) To organize fencing competitions and cultivate healthy lifestyle through sport

c) To be a role model for the youth in Brunei

d) Assist local fencing club with development of the sport in the country.


To make fencing a well known sport in Brunei Darussalam and be competitive in National, Regional and International event.
